I know that learning a new instrument or picking up an old one can be a daunting and difficult task - so I'm focused on being a patient and supportive teacher.

I teach piano across the whole spectrum of experience, from day-one beginners to advanced players, and I can connect with people of all ages – from seniors to children.  I also teach instrumentalist and vocalists sight singing and ear training using the Solfege method. You can learn: piano technique jazz harmony, Improvisation aural training and sight reading.

I also give general music lessons to cover the fundamentals of music - a course on method by the renowned Helen Jacobs which I currently teach as part of the Open Academy courses  at the Sydney Conservatorium Of Music.

I have taught students of all ages and experience, beginner to tertiary level, over many years as well as being an experienced adjudicator and conductor. Students' goals are an important part of my teaching and lessons are structured according to these. I am happy to prepare students for AMEB exams, music performances at school and HSC music. Delivering lessons in an encouraging manner, choosing appropriate repertoire and building good technique are important factors in learning an instrument. Anna specialises in teaching piano to beginners, especially children aged between 5-12 years. Her patient and gentle manner helps put students at ease and creates a comfortable and supportive learning environment.
